Loasis (low•ay•sis) Magazine is an independent publication based in the Washington DC-Metro area focused on the arts and culture. Our beginnings are rooted in College Park's WMUC Radio station, providing the most concert coverage for the station's publication. Inspired by Rei Kawakubo’s Six Magazine and the early 80s D.I.Y. magazines from DC’s hardcore scene, our publication seeks to embrace informal and avant-garde formats.

We curate our coverage to best reach the intersection of art, equity and journalism, reaching young audiences through the mediums of film, photography, podcasting, events, articles, and more. By engaging in stories within several disciplines, Loasis Magazine features a sense of creative broadcast that cannot be found in traditional publications.
